Commencing Jan 1 2016, presentations will be eligible for a single renewal only. If a Provider wishes to continue to use material that has already been renewed once, the presentation must be re-submitted as a new application and the usual charges will be levied.

EXAMPLE: A presentation was first submitted for accreditation in January 2012. When the accreditation ended in January 2014, the Provider elected to renew the code for another two years. If the provider would like to continue using that presentation after the renewal expires in January 2016, it will be necessary to submit an new application with updated documentation and subject to the usual costs (i.e., $50 accreditation fee + $75 for each hour of content + HST).

This policy change will help to ensure that attendees and participants are receiving the most current information.

The report assures education providers that Institute-accredited CE will have iron-clad defensibility in the eyes of regulators and designation-granting bodies.

  • Helping financial advisors and planners document how they have met their CE requirements.
  • Helping education providers by providing an impartial third-party review and report.
